The Administration screen allows you to customize your CardPointe account.
Descriptor Settings
Differentiate between your various merchant accounts or locations by altering the labels for each of your merchant IDs on the Descriptors page. You may also change the Descriptor of your account from your legal name if you do business as another entity. This descriptor may display on customer credit card statements.
User Settings
Access the Users tab within Administration to manage all of your users, view their transaction histories, or adjust their contact settings, permissions, or notification settings. Click on a user's name to adjust their settings. On the Contact Info tab, admins may be able to...
- Reset Passwords
- Delete the User
- Edit the following fields relating to their account:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Time Zone
- User Type
On the Dashboard Notifications tab, admins may be able to turn on or off the following notifications that display within the Cardpointe Dashboard:

Administration Notification—Notifications for administrators.

Global Notification—Global notifications for all users.

General—Stay informed with product releases, site maintenance and general announcements.
On the Email Notifications tab, admins may be able to turn on or off the following notifications that are emailed directly to the user:

General—Receive an email to stay informed with product releases, site maintenance and general announcements.

Funding Report Delay Alert—Receive an email if there are delays in receiving Funding report data.
On the Transactions tab, admins may see or export all transactions processed by that user. Select a MID first to see all Transactions under that MID.
Virtual Terminal Configuration
Access the Virtual Terminal tab within Administration to configure which fields are visible in the Virtual Terminal or to require specific fields for Customer Profile creation. Not all fields are applicable to nonprofit entities. For example, Virtual Terminal - Tax would add a field to the Virtual Terminal to enter a tax amount for the transaction. Each field has a question mark symbol next to it that provides a brief explanation of the field.
Custom Fields Configuration
Access the Custom Fields tab within Administration to configure whether custom fields are related to customer profiles or transactions, or if they should be active, required, or shown on receipts.
Receipt Configuration
Access the Receipts tab within Administration to configure the fields and formatting of receipts printable and emailable from Cardpointe.
Batch Settings
Access the Batching tab within Administration to configure your batch close-out times for each merchant account.
Configure Later Next Day Funding Batches
Merchants who process on the North platform through Cardpointe have the ability to batch out at a later time, while still getting their funds the next day.
The batch close-out time that you choose should be no later than 9:50 PM Eastern Time in order to receive funds the next day.
To configure later next day funding in CardPointe:
- Navigate to Administration > Batching.
- Uncheck the box next to "Automatically close batch for Next Day Funding."
- Hover your mouse over the bar graph and choose a new cutoff time for next day funding. The batch close-out time that you choose should be no later than 9:50 PM Eastern.
- Click Save.
Security Settings
Access the Security tab within Administration to configure whether the Address Verification Service (AVS) and Card Verification Value (CVV) security checks are enabled.
You can also set transaction amount limitations:
- Max Transaction/Refund Ticket Amount—Enter maximum allowable transaction/refund amount for this merchant. For example, $10 will decline $10.01 sales and -$10.01 refunds/force credits.
- Threshold—Transactions under this dollar amount will be Authorized and Voided if there is an AVS mismatch. Transactions over this dollar amount will be verified before an authorization is attempted.
