REGARDING THE REDISTRICTING FROM THE 2020 CENSUS THAT WAS RATIFIED FOR 2022 AND BEYOND;
Now that the U.S. Census Bureau has released population counts from the 2020 Census, each state will use this data in the redrawing of congressional and state legislative district boundaries (redistricting) to be used in future elections.
Since the redistricting efforts for every state will follow different timelines, the availability of the new district information will vary by state. Until our data vendor releases new district data to us for each state, we will display the current legislator(s) for their district. This is to ensure that advocacy actions are being sent to the appropriate representative while current district lines remain in effect.
PLEASE NOTE: The new districts will not take effect until the new legislative sessions start and new legislators are sworn in. This will be after the 2022 mid-term elections.
