Define your login credentials in the Settings menu under Manage My Team. Check with your local support team for assistance. Contact Salsa Support if you need further assistance. Salsa Support will confirm your identity if they have not previously spoken to you.
Log In to Engage for the First Time
Access Engage through your web browser from any computer that has an internet connection and a supported internet browser. Use a computer or tablet with a minimum 1280x800 screen resolution. Do not use a smartphone. Your local Engage administrators must create a login for you first before you can access Engage.
- You will receive an email from your Engage admin that contains a link to access Engage for the very first time. Click that link in the email. This will bring up the Engage Login screen in your default web browser.
- Type your initial password, which must conform to the following rules:
- At least 8 characters long
- Use at least 3 out of the 4 following criteria:
- One English upper case letter (A through Z)
- One English lowercase letter (a through z)
- One number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,6, 7, 8, 9, 0)
- One Special character (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + | ~ - = ` { } [ ] : " ; ' < > / ? ,)
- Security questions provide an additional level of security and identity verification for your login. When you first access your account, select questions and create answers to 2 different security questions. You will not be able to choose the same question twice.
- Click Continue to confirm. You are logged in to Engage.
Log Out of Engage
If you are away from your desk, it is a good idea to log out of Salsa Engage before you leave. If you close your browser, you will remain logged into Salsa Engage for a short time, so log out first.
- Click the Account dropdown menu at the top of the screen that contains your name and your organization name.
- Click Log Out.
- The Salsa Engage Log in screen appears. At this point, you are logged out of Salsa Engage. You would need to enter your user ID and Password again to access Salsa Engage.
Password Updates
Passwords are set to expire after 90 days. When the time expires, you will be prompted to change your password. The same rules apply to creating the new password, except that you may not reuse the last 4 password combinations.
Password Recovery
NOTE: If you try a wrong password too many times and get locked out of your Engage account, but your Salsa CRM instance links to Salsa Engage, access Engage through the Salsa CRM Tools menu instead.
If you forgot your password—or have tried too many times to type your password and are locked out—then take the following steps:
- Click the I Forgot link above the password field.
- Enter your associated Email Address.
- Click the Reset My Password button. We'll send you an email with instructions for resetting your password.
- In the email you receive, click the link to reset your password.
- Type your reset password, which must conform to the same rules for establishing a new password:
- Type your answer for your security question.
- Click Let's Go! to proceed.
- At this point, your password is reset according to the guidelines you just followed. Re-enter your Username and password on the login screen at https://hq.salsalabs.org.
