ShowClix is a third-party event ticketing software. ShowClix provides an easy and affordable way for clients to promote their fundraising events and sell tickets or collect fees online, by telephone, or directly at the event through point-of-sale to attendees.
Configure ShowClix to submit transactions to Salsa CRM's web donation queue, where the transactions need to be authorized and processed so that the show up in your Donation and Campaign reporting.
NOTE: If the Web Donation Queue is not processed completely, then the Donations will not show up in your reporting.
ShowClix Postback Settings
In order for ShowClix to send the records to Salsa CRM properly, enter the following settings in your ShowClix event settings:
Postback Settings
- Postback Data for Event: "Yes" transmits records to Salsa CRM.
- Postback URL: format the URL for your Salsa CRM database URL, like https://NNNN.crm.salsalabs.org/webDonation/ (the last slash is very important)
- DonorPro Event ID: this field is not required to be filled in. Leave this blank.
- Req User Interaction: "Yes" sends transactions to the Web Donation Queue [No = Resolution Queue -- don't use that].
- Fund Name/Campaign Name/Appeal Name: ShowClix transmits these fields as the variable fundName/campaignName/appealName with these appropriate values for mapping into Salsa CRM.
- Donation Source Name: the source of these transactions, which should be ShowClix.
Salsa CRM Web Mapping Configuration
Web Transaction Mapping provides the way to link the incoming ShowClix fields to the Salsa CRM fields. When processing the web transactions resulting from these ShowClix purchases, the below values will be pre-populated, for smoother web transaction processing.
Mappings are defined in the Manage > Configuration menu, on the Web Transactions node of the Configuration Explorer, in the Mapping tab.
Fund Mapping
ShowClix sends the configured Fund Name to Salsa CRM as fundName (note the capitalization of the field). To map an incoming ShowClix purchase to a particular fund:
- On the Mapping page, select Add to add a new Mapping.
- In the Incoming Variable Name field, type fundName.
- In the Type field, select Fund.
- In the If the incoming value is field, type what the value is in ShowClix for your Fund Name.
- In the then set the Fund to field, select the appropriate Fund from the dropdown list of all Funds.
Campaign Mapping
ShowClix sends the configured Campaign Name to Salsa CRM as campaignName. To map an incoming ShowClix purchase to a particular Campaign:
- On the Mapping page, select Add to add a new Mapping.
- In the Incoming Variable Name field, type campaignName.
- In the Type field, select Campaign.
- In the If the incoming value is field, type what the value is in ShowClix for your Campaign Name.
- In the then set the Campaign to field, select the appropriate Campaign from the dropdown list of all Campaigns.
Appeal Mapping
ShowClix sends the configured Appeal Name to Salsa CRM as appealName. To map an incoming ShowClix purchase to a particular Appeal:
- On the Mapping page, select Add to add a new Mapping.
- In the Incoming Variable Name field, type appealName.
- In the Type field, select Appeal.
- In the If the incoming value is field, type what the value is in ShowClix for your Appeal Name.
- In the then set the Appeal to field, select the appropriate Fund from the dropdown list of all Appeals.
Group Mapping
Gather ticket purchasers together into a Group to make communications with them easier or to segment them together for a future mailing. Since supporters can map in from ShowClix multiple times, then it's best to add them into a Group based on the Campaign or Appeal representing that unique activity. To map an incoming ShowClix supporter to a particular Constituent Group:
- On the Mapping page, select Add to add a new Mapping.
- In the Incoming Variable Name field, type campaignName (or appealName).
- In the Type field, select Group.
- In the If the incoming value is field, type what the value is in ShowClix for your Campaign or Appeal Name.
- In the then set the Group to field, select the appropriate Group from the dropdown list of all Groups.
