How you delete constituent records depends on two factors:
-
How many records you want to delete
-
Whether the records are synced to Salsa Engage supporter records
Deleting a single record
To delete one CRM record at a time, navigate to the constituent record, click Edit and select Delete on the drop-down menu.
A pop-up will warn you about deletion. Enter your initials in the available field and click OK to confirm deletion.
If the record you’re deleting is synced to Salsa Engage, the corresponding Engage record will recreate a matching CRM record shortly afterward.
To ensure the record remains permanently deleted, you will have to immediately navigate to the synced Engage record and delete it as well. You can find the synced Engage supporter record by clicking the Synced with Engage link at the upper-right of the CRM constituent record.
Deleting records in bulk
To delete multiple CRM records simultaneously, use the Advanced Query Wizard to search for the records to be deleted.
When you've completed the query, continue to Step 4 and click the Global Delete button at the lower left.
A pop-up will warn you of the number of records slated for deletion. Scroll down, select the data to delete, enter your initials and click OK.
Any deleted constituent records that are synced to Salsa Engage supporter records will be recreated in CRM shortly after deletion. To permanently delete supporter records in bulk across both platforms, synced Engage supporter records must be deleted simultaneously.
